Our Vision Franklin Academy will educate all students in a respectful, responsible, cooperative, and safe environment. We will provide our students with the necessary skills to be successful citizens, who are college and career ready. Bell Schedule We are on a 6 letter day cycle (A, B, C, D, E, F). Students receive schedules over the summer and again on the first day of school. Students may request a new copy of their schedule from the main office or guidance. Click here for the bell schedules for normal days as well as days with 1 or 2 hour delays. Students are required to be in their 1st period class by the start time listed in order to not be counted as tardy to school. ​ On half-days with early release, drivers and walkers are dismissed at 11:03, and bus riders are released at 11:15. Vaccination Information Beginning September 1, 2016, all students entering 7th and 12th grade MUST HAVE proof of having been given meningococcal vaccine in order to attend school. Students entering Grade 7 in 2017 must have: 1 dose of the meningococcal vaccine Students entering Grade 12 in 2017 must have either: 2 doses of the meningococcal vaccine with the second dose given on or after the age of 16 or 1 dose if given after the age of 16 Please contact your pediatrician/physician to make an appointment, or to confirm if you child has or has not received the required vaccine and ask them to fax the information to your school nurse. Franklin County Public Health offers clinics on the following dates: July 11, August 8, August 29, and you need to call 481-1708 to make an appointment. North Star Student Assistance Program: Mrs. Tracy Gravell provides prevention education classes to all incoming freshmen and prevention programming to all students here at FA. She is a confidential resource for students and families dealing with every day struggles as well as more extreme challenges ranging from addiction, unhealthy relationships and daily choices. The Prevention Programming here at FA also includes the SOS Suicide Prevention Program, Early Intervention Treatment, Students Against Destructive Decisions Chapter and a Parent Prevention Board all aimed at increasing resiliency, awareness and support that impact healthy youth decisions. The forms are only accessible after 7:45 each day, and will no longer accept reservations once 25 students have signed up for each period (20 each for 5A & 5B). If you do not reserve a spot, you will not be able to go to the library from study hall for that period on that day.
